9/11 Heroes Run-Houston

Due to COVID-19, this year’s event will be held virtually. The 9/11 5K Heroes Run/Walk/Ruck raises awareness and honors the fallen of 9/11, as well as veterans, first responders and military. Sept. 11; travismanion.org/events/911-heroes-run/2020-houston-tx.

Autism Speaks Virtual Race

Participants can take part in the virtual race by running or walking an 8K/5K/1K around the neighborhood, on a treadmill, or in a local park. The fundraising efforts will empower the charity’s work to promote solutions for the needs of people with autism and their families. Sept.12; act.autismspeaks.org.

Free Fitness Fridays: Zumba

Hatha Yoga

A basic vinyasa yoga class for enhanced awareness and a strong, healthy body led by Andria Dugas. No preregistration required. Participants must bring a towel, water and a yoga mat. Bollywood & Bhangra Dancing Class

Fitness dance class is set to the rhythm of Bollywood music. Open to all ages and levels. 10 a.m. Sept. 12; Levy Park, 3801 Eastside; levyparkhouston.org. This program will also debut on Levy Park’s Facebook page and will be available for 24 hours.

Goat Yoga Houston NettBar

This instructed yoga class is surrounded by goats of all sizes. All ages are welcome, although Goat Yoga may not be suitable for children younger than 9. 10-11 a.m. Sept. 12; NettBar; 4504 Nett; facebook.com/events/2507167256200188.
