DETROIT (WXYZ) — Community Health and Social Services (CHASS) Center in Southwest Detroit will mark National Health Center Week, Sunday, August 9 through Saturday, August 15, with free live stream forums and activities available to the public.
The virtual events, hosted on ZOOM and Facebook Live, will offer education, panel discussions and interactive opportunities on a range of topics including nutrition, oral health and mental health. Activities will also include online family story time and a virtual 5K run/walk.
CHASS Center offers a full spectrum of ongoing services including primary and preventative care for persons of all ages, oral and mental health care, and more. CHASS Center is a community-based, not for profit organization and relies on the generosity of donors and investors.

2020 FQHC Council of Southeast MI Annual Symposium, Care Beyond COVID-19
ZOOM
An interactive presentation to discuss primary care beyond COVID-19. Led by Ernia Hughes, Director of the Office of Northern Health Services, within the Bureau of Primary Health Care, Health Resources and Services Administration, in the session takes an in-depth look at focus group findings with community health centers across the nation about challenges to providing care in light of the pandemic.
