A nonprofit preschool and child care center for children 12 months through 13-years-old is opening Sept. 29 in Greeley.

The Key Explores Preschool and Early Childhood Center is located on the east side of 2332 W. 27th in the garden level of 23 Church. The center is not associated with the church.

The center is open year round and it’s being managed by the Key Education group, which has extensive experience providing educational program for under-served populations according to a news release. Key Explorers welcomes all families, including those that qualify for CCAP support funding.

The center will have a capacity for 70 children. The center’s hours are from 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily. Core educational program will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Full-day programs are available all year as 5-day, 3-day and 2-day options.

The school-age program will serve children ages 5-13. It will be available before and after school on all days public schools are on break, including summer vacation.

The educational program focuses on meaningful play and it encourages curiosity, discovery, and problem solving, which allows individual growth and development of a positive self-image. The daily program includes art, writing, music and performances.
